In the 1980s and early 1990s

Use

The airfield was used in the 1980s by the Combat Helicopter Wing 5 "Adolf von Lützow" of the National People's Army (NVA) of the GDR. In the NVA, the airfield had the number 2156.

Radio beacons

In "Verzeichnis 012" of the National People's Army, the landing direction is indicated with 165°, which differs from the runways of the GST airfield.
