General
The "kerosene railway" was built to supply the airport with aviation fuel. It branched off from the Görlitzer Bahn railway south of the Berlin-Grünau train station, ran along the southern city boundary of Berlin and ended in Diepensee at the southern part of the Schönefeld airport.
As part of the construction of the new Berlin Brandenburg BER Airport, a new connection to the Görlitz Railway was built about 200 m to the south. After its commissioning, the "Kerosene railway" was shut down and dismantled.
